Solar PCUs are typically systems of Higher Capacity power backup that work on the principle of utilizing maximum solar power while charging the battery bank as well as when it is in backup mode.
Solar Inverterv/s PCUWhen you use a Solar Inverter, during daytime, battery will be charged through solar power but the Load will be fed through AC Grid Power (NEPA) through bypass mode.Solar energy stored in battery will be utilized when AC Grid Power is unavailable (in Inverter mode).
This way solar energy will be stored in the battery and can be utilized when AC mains gets cutoff. As long as grid power is present solar power is kept stored and not utilized.Solar inverters are economical, efficient and eco-friendly power back up solutions for home and industry.
In case of PCU, solar charging of battery takes priority during solar day.Battery charges through solar until it reaches full charge voltage. After battery is fully charged, the Load is fed via Battery in Inverter mode. Thus Grid Poweris not used in presence of solar power in case of PCU.
Thus helps in driving electrical appliances smoothly and ultimately increases their life
There are two types of charge controllers available – PWM type and MPPT type.
The PWM controller is in essence a switch that connects a solar array to a battery. The result is that the voltage of the array will be pulled down to near that of the battery.
The MPPT controller is more sophisticated (and more expensive), it will adjust its input voltage to harvest the maximum power from the solar array and then transform this power to supply the varying voltage requirement, of the battery plus load. Thus, it essentially decouples the array and battery voltages so that there can be, for example, a 12-volt battery on one side of the MPPT charge controller and a large number of cells wired in series to produce 36 volts on the other.
ExampleA 300 W panel is rated at 24 V. But in reality, it supplies 7.88 A at 38 V (7.88A X 38V = 300W). But the 200Ah battery is designed to take only 24 V. If you don’t use charge controller, the high voltage from solar panel may damage the battery causing it to explode. A charge controller solves this issue:
PWM – It is just a switch with steps down 38V from solar panel to 24 V for battery. So the battery will receive 7.88A * 24 V = 189 W of power. The balance power of 300 W – 189 W = 111 W is wasted. Therefore, although the consumer pays for 300 W, he will get only 189 W. Unfortunately, that’s the reality, however, PWM is cheap on the pockets of consumer.
MPPT – This does not waste power, but is expensive. It is recommended for loads in excess of 2.5 KW. Let us say, the 300 W solar panel provides 38 V at 7.88 A. The MPPT controller will convert this to 24V, 12.5. So now, the battery receives 12.5A X 24 V = 300 W full. No power wastage.

Aethon’s Solar Converter cum Solar Charge controller is a unique invention which can be attached to existing non-solar inverters to get a solar inverter system.
If you own a normal Inverter System, then by connecting our Solar Converter you can convert your existing non-solar inverter system into a solar inverter.
Through this Converter unit, the inverter will give priority to solar charging and allows only the solar panel or mains to charge the battery at a time. The switch over between solar and mains is automatic.
Hence, this system saves the cost to the buyer towards replacing his non-solar inverter system with solar inverter system.
This is same as above except for the fact that this device will convert your existing non-solar inverter to Solar PCU

Square Wave voltage output can be harmful to electronic equipment, especially equipment with motors.
